Yes, eyelashes generally grow back. The American Academy of Ophthalmology states that if the hair follicles are intact, eyelashes will usually grow back in 6 weeks, but if the follicles are damaged, the eyelashes might not grow back. Under normal circumstances, it takes a couple of months for eyelashes to grow back, and they typically regrow within 6 weeks to 3 months if there is no severe damage to the eyelids or follicles. While there is no scientific evidence that home remedies speed up eyelash growth, various factors such as burns, chemotherapy, and certain medical conditions can affect the regrowth of eyelashes.
